The best solution for this type of shower is either a pump in your airing cupboard which will boost the pressure and flow of water to your shower or an independent power shower such as the Mira Vigour (£150 from Amazon.co.uk). They’ll both need piping up but they do make a huge difference and they make a gravity system much more effective!

Great post, just moved into an older property and trying to make some sense of it all. I’m now afraid of dead birds, and I particularly hate my “dribble” shower.
